Enbridge Energy – Tank Construction

Location: Cushing, Oklahoma

Matrix Service constructed twelve storage tanks in three phases for Enbridge Energy in Cushing, Oklahoma. Matrix Service performed the fabrication, erection of the tanks, site civil and tank ringwall construction and piping. Tank and tank ringwall design were performed by Matrix Service’s sister company, Matrix PDM Engineering.

The first phase was an expansion of Enbridge Energy’s central and south terminals including five new external floating roof tanks with an approximate total shell capacity of 1,940,000 barrels. The second phase consisted of an expansion of the north terminal with four new external floating roof tanks with an approximate total shell capacity of 1,250,000 barrels. The third phase was completed in their north and central terminals consisting of three new external floating roof tanks with an approximate total shell capacity of 650,000 barrels.
